Hatha Foundations Series with Jay Suttonbrown, E-RYT 500

Do you have questions about poses and postures that you never seem to "get"? Have certain poses become "stale"? In this UNIQUE WORKSHOP series, we will work through the physical and energetic mechanics in depth.

Each participant will receive individual attention in co-creating the best shapes for their bodies, and the opportunity to learn from the group experience about postures in a whole new way.

This is for all levels, all bodies, all abilities! Jay creates a WARM, SAFE SPACE to explore. No pose is too basic. LET'S re-open our beginner's mind.

Maximum of 15 students to ensure individual support. Register early to avoid disappointment.

Winter Solstice Sadhana

Join us for a group sadhana to celebrate the Winter Solstice. According to its Latin roots, the word solstice means “sun standing still," and winter solstice has been recognized across many cultures as a time to celebrate the gradual return of the light. Let's blaze the return of the light with powerful Aquarian Sadhana practice from the teachings of Yogi Bhajan. Enjoy the transformative work of Pranayama, a short Kriya, and 62 Minutes of Mantra Meditation.

  • Sadhana is 5:30am-7:30am (but doors will be open so arrive and depart as needed)

Level One 50 Hour Kundalini Training

Kundalini Yoga and Meditation is a powerful practice of awareness and transformation. The practice of Kundalini yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan will free you from subconscious fears, and reconnect you to your internal power, wisdom, and strength. The Manipura Yoga School Level One 50 Hour Kundalini Yoga training is an powerful opportunity to learn the philosophy, practice and basic skills of a Kundalini Yoga teacher.

We will Explore:

  1. Level One Kundalini provides a strong foundation and understanding of the depth and breadth of the practices of Kundalini Yoga and Meditation. This is an introduction to the incredible depth of practices available to you through the Kundalini Tradition.

  2. Level One will teach you how to access the tools of Kundalini Yoga. You will be introduced to the myriad of kriyas, mantras, mudras, and meditations to work on all levels of your being.

  3. Level One includes:

    • history and philosophy of Kundalini Yoga

    • the Energetic body, 10 Bodies and the Chakra system 

    • the Yoga of Naad and Laya Yoga (the science of sound) and the power of mantra

    • an understanding of the purpose and execution of kriya, meditation, pranayama, and mudra to raise Kundalini energy and create a deep connection within.

    • the tools to develop and maintain a powerful personal sadhana (your daily practice) to create the life you want to expand

    • the tools to teach an inspiring Kundalini Yoga class

Training Includes:

  • 45 Hours of Direct Instruction with Jay Suttonbrown, E-RYT 500, RPYT, RYS 200, YACEP
  • Additional hours of support for teaching practicum, observation and feedback
  • Manual
  • Kriya and Meditation home practice
  • Kundalini Yoga & Meditation classes
  • Observation and feedback on teaching your first class
  • 40 Day Meditation
  • 50 hours of Continuing Education credits with the Yoga Alliance upon completion
  • Certificates and Yoga Alliance verification by Manipura Yoga School

Certification Requirements:

You must be a certified Yoga Teacher to receive certification. Students interested in participating for personal development are welcome, but will not receive certification. Students participating for personal development will not be required to teach practicums, complete exams, etc.

  • Complete all training hours
  • Complete 40 Day Meditation
  • Teach a Kundalini Practicum Class
  • Pass written exam with 80% or better

Investment:

You must be a 200 Hour Yoga Teacher to receive certification. (Students interested in participating for personal development are very welcome, but will not receive certification.)
